This 'perpetual wine' nods to old Sicilian traditions, which have much in common with the blending of traditional Marsala. Over the last six years, a large barrel has been progressively added to with the wines of each vintage. Throughout the process it is bottled periodically, capturing a different piece of wine history in the progress. 

Every bottling will always contain a tiny proportion of the original vintage added, a beautiful concept. The wine itself is mildly orange in colour, is wildly aromatic with slightly oxidative notes, is textured and very complex, very saline... very serious! This is an absolutely exceptional cheese wine. Something incredible special to open alongside a wide variety of cheeses, and it is especially fantastic with strong blue examples.

Made by the team at Valdibella, an impressive and inspiring cooperative based in Sicily's west who have a huge focus on biodiverse farmlands, an active social impact, and are part of the Addiopizzo anti-mafia movement.
