An intriguing blend of Chardonnay and L'Acadie, a hybrid crossing developed in Niagara often viewed as Canada's answer to Chardonnay. This Non-Vintage expression is fresh, lean and citrusy, with notes of lemon rind, lime blossom and a whiff of wood smoke on the finish. An excellent aperitif wine that is also fantastic with oysters.
It's not every day that you come across a Canadian sparkling wine, made with consultation from not just one, but two of Champagne's great names. Benjamin Bridge originally took form with help from the legendary Raphaël Brisbois of Piper Heidsieck, who helped shape this remarkable Nova Scotia winery in its early years. Sadly Raphaël passed away in 2013, but his legacy certainly lives on and is now being built upon by another Champagne icon; Pascal Agrapart, whose eponymous winery is one of the worlds most sought after Grower Champagnes. Safe to say, this is a winery crafted by the very best and from the first sip, we were simply blown away.
